Who is Karindy Ong?
Karindy Ong is a Speech-Language Pathologist who transitioned from working with spinal cord and brain injuries to Myofunctional Therapy after her own children faced ongoing airway-related issues. Through researching orofacial myofunctional disorders, she recognized their widespread applications across age groups and diagnoses, leading her to adopt a holistic, integrative approach. Passionate about addressing root causes, Karindy incorporates myofunctional therapy, craniosacral fascia therapy (CFT), biofeedback, and biohacking techniques to enhance treatment outcomes. Her mission is to educate families worldwide on airway development, ensuring future generations grow up healthy and free from chronic airway challenges.
A graduate of the University of Houston with a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Karindy has extensive experience in acute, post-acute, and outpatient rehabilitation. She specializes in brain injuries, disorders of consciousness, spinal cord injuries, infant feeding, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. Currently, she provides therapy for neurologically and medically complex patients of all ages through MyohackerSLP, PLLC in Katy, Texas. Outside of work, Karindy enjoys exploring state parks with her family, working out, listening to podcasts and books, and continuously expanding her knowledge of biohacking.
